Event Objectives

  • Discuss the importance of vaccine screenings: Participants will learn about the significance of vaccine screenings in primary care settings, including the benefits of ensuring patients are up-to-date with their vaccinations and the role of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases.
  • Identify and utilize available screening tools: Attendees will become familiar with various tools and methods used to assess vaccination status, such as electronic health records (EHRs), immunization registries, and patient questionnaires, and understand how to effectively implement these tools in clinical practice.
  • Develop action plans for positive screening results: Participants will gain knowledge on the appropriate steps to take when a patient screens positive for needing a vaccine, including patient education, vaccine administration protocols, and follow-up care to ensure comprehensive patient support.
