Ohio State University will host a Pancreas Symposium on Friday, May 8th, bringing together national leaders in pancreatic cancer care and research, including Dr. Theodore S. Hong of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and Dr. Jen Jen Yeh of the University of North Carolina. This symposium is designed for clinicians and researchers committed to advancing the early detection, diagnosis, and comprehensive management of pancreatic disease. Participants will gain practical insights to increase clinician awareness of early and subtle signs and risk factors, promote standardized, evidence-based diagnostic pathways, and translate emerging advances, such as precision medicine and biomarker-driven therapies, into real-world practice. The program will also emphasize supportive care across the disease continuum, including pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) management, nutrition, and rehabilitation, while addressing care disparities and fostering equitable, patient-centered care.
